What on earth is Glamping?

Some call it luxury camping. Some call it glamorous camping. It’s a way to experience the untamed and completely unique parts of the world—without having to sacrifice creature comforts. The glamping trend is gaining traction and shows no signs of slowing down. There are great destinations all around the world, each with its own set of benefits.

If your essentials list contains things such as a real mattress, running water or an actual toilet, you can still find numerous options that bridge the gap between traditional camping and the comforts of home. Here are just a few examples:

·      Camping Cabins: These offer a roof over your head, four walls and a bed to sleep in. No need to worry about packing a tent or an air mattress.

·      Deluxe Cabins: Deluxe Cabins offer the same convenience of a Camping Cabin, and also include a private bathroom. Some also include additional features such as kitchenettes, bed linens and more. Check specific campgrounds for Deluxe Cabins.

·      Tree Houses: No matter what age you are, there is something inherently appealing about tree houses. And while you may have had one in your youth, modern tree houses are a stunning way to have a unique experience outdoors. Fully enclosed, with all the familiar amenities, you can’t beat the view through upscale camping in a tree house.

·      Safari Tents: You’ve no doubt seen these in movies, perched in some exotic location and offering a comfortable existence to adventurers away from home. Why not try renting one for yourself? With many featuring furniture, electricity, fully functioning kitchens and storage, safari tents are a perfect marriage between comfort and adventure.

·      Yurts: These circular variations of tents, popular throughout Asia, feature rigid walls and are fully enclosed. You can find some yurts with electricity, running water, real beds and more.

When is the best time to go Glamping?

During your outdoor excursion, glamping allows you to bring along all of the creature comforts you desire. As a result, glamping can be done at any time. Every season has its own set of activities that you might enjoy. Imagine snuggling next to a fire pit on a snowy winter day, wrapped in a fleece-lined blanket. Or, even as the thermometer creeps higher in the dead of summer, you can take it in your stride as you sip on a cool, refreshing beverage by a pool.

Is glamping a better option for small kids?

You have a better understanding of your children than anyone else. Glamping may be the ideal option for your family's needs because it frequently includes more facilities than a regular camping excursion. If your children are very enthusiastic about the prospect of “roughing it,” a more traditional camping trip might be a better fit.

Glamping is all about making your camping trip as comfortable and luxurious as possible. Electricity, luxurious blankets, running water, mood lighting, and delectable meals are just a few of the amenities that make glamping a great holiday for many people.
